Letterpress in Sao Paulo

this is a pretty amazing operation...good to know the craft is still alive. An old friend of mine who owns Firecracker press in St. Louis, MO is also keeping the tradition alive...a gorgeous blend of old and new technologies work together to create marketing materials that have personality, are artful, and that get noticed.

The social networking movement has created a paradigm shift in the worlds of advertising and marketing. The focus is no longer on the masses - or groups of "masses". Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other networking and group sites have changed the face of the internet from a nameless, faceless being to a personalized experience.

I hope we will see more old traditions resurfacing...the one-stop-shop, prepackaged world we live in is exhausting.
